Warrington Play & Sensory Centre

Leisure, play and sensory activities for disabled children, young people and adults

Warrington Play and Sensory Centre is a purpose-built activity centre for disabled children and adults or those with special needs. It has a number of different areas where you can relax or play.

Our facilities have been planned carefully and are fully accessible to ensure that your time with us is as enjoyable as possible.

Our Facilities

We have a number of facilities at the centre, there’s something for children and adults of all ages and needs:

Active Zone

The Active Zone is a large soft play structure with a fun sea theme. Highlights include the large soft slide, dizzy disc and ball pool. There is more room than usual in the structure to allow parents and carers to stand up fully and provide support to children and adults as they make their way round.

 Calm Zone

The Calm Zone is a soft play area for those with reduced mobility or younger children. It includes a low level trampoline, swing, DVD player with a large screen, and a soft play agility kit and shapes.

 Sensory Room

The Sensory Room is a calm sensory environment. It includes a water bed, bubble tube, interactive light panel, fibre optic curtain, ball pool and light projection. An overhead hoist is available. Please note that one-to-one supervision is required in this area.

 Pre-school Area

The Pre-school Area is a soft play area for younger children. It includes a small ball pool and soft play shapes.

Café

Enjoy your stay with a hot meal, snack and a hot or cold drink in our café area.

Disabled Facilities

We have a fully accessible disabled toilet with a height-adjustable changing bed and hoist.

Visit the Centre

We operate a membership scheme at Warrington Play and Sensory Centre so that we can make sure the centre is available to all children and adults with disabilities or additional needs which may prevent them from enjoying other play and leisure opportunities.

To be able to visit the centre, your child or the person you care for must join the membership scheme. It’s free to join, and you then pay for each time you visit.

Request your membership form via sensorycentre@warrington.gov.uk or call into the centre and complete whilst attending a members session.

Group membership

Group membership is also available for schools, day centres and other groups: Request your membership form via sensorycentre@warrington.gov.uk or call into the centre and complete
