Warrington & District Badminton League - Find a Club

The Warrington & District Badminton League was established in 1949 and right to this day has a rich history of competitive badminton being played across the area.

There are a range of competitive clubs spread right across the district who will all welcome new players to get involved in playing league and club badminton. This being either by taking part in competitive league matches against other teams during the season. Or perhaps simply by being a club badminton player and therefore enjoying the fitness and social sides of the game.

There are currently ten Senior member clubs and at this time we are actively looking for new clubs to come and join us and enter the Warrington League & District League. If you play badminton and have a group of regular players who could make up a league team please get in touch and we can see if we can get you involved. Likewise if you are an adult or junior player looking to join a club or receive coaching we will try our best to help you too.

The current league system comprises of 2 mixed divisions, the 1st division having 5 teams and the 2nd having 6 teams. A match team is made up of 8 players being 4 ladies and 4 gents from each club. There is also the annual Booth Cup competition for senior clubs to take part in. As well as the annual Junior Tournament that takes place each year.

We are affiliated with Cheshire County Badminton Association and Badminton England and we often have teams to represent us at that level for a range of competitions and tournaments.
