MacIntyre No Limits
MacIntyre No Limits provides a bespoke educational package in partnership with Local Colleges. Where accommodation away from the family home is required, we use a supported living model to create person centred solutions.
The independent living curriculum is delivered in the person’s own town; the place where they will live as adults and where they can best apply what they learn. A young person’s programme may include a wide range of elements, using mainstream and specialist facilities as vehicles for the opportunities to learn and participate.
The service blends a high quality, flexible educational programme with skilled support from specifically trained teams for young people and their families, delivered in a way that suits the individual.
No Limits:
- works with young people and their families to provide a bespoke, inclusive, education solution
- enables young people with learning disabilities to access the services they need locally
- creates fully flexible, personalised solutions ranging from a few hours a week to 24/7 support and accommodation
Most of all, by giving a greater number of young people the opportunity to live, learn and work locally, MacIntyre’s No Limits programme provides a broader range of pathways for young people moving into their adult lives.
MacIntyre No Limits is delivered in partnership with a number of further education colleges and funded by the European Social Fund.

In order to start using the service, your child will need to have an assessed need, such as through an education health and care plan, or a special educational need.
You can then contact us directly, or contact your child’s social worker or Special Educational Needs Coordinator, who can then contact us.
The service does need to be funded, the cost of which would usually be met through education and/or social care funding from a local authority. You can use your personal budget or Direct Payments to fund the service, or to provide additional hours if the service is funded from your local authority. You may have to pay additional costs for activities, snacks, meals and transport, but we will discuss this fully with you and your local authority before we start so you know exactly what these costs will be.
We don’t have a waiting list for providing a service as such, BUT each service we provide is individually designed around your child. This means that we usually have to recruit staff specially to provide your service – something we hope you will be able to help us with by sitting on interview panels. This will mean unless we have staff available that match the needs of your child, it will usually take 3 to 4 months to start up your service, though this can vary.
If you are unsure about whether the service will be right for you as a family, don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss further.
