Thelwall Community Junior

SCHOOL AIMS
Our long term aims at Thelwall Community Junior School are appropriate for all pupils and our wider school community. The Every Child Matters agenda is at the heart of all that we do in striving for each child to fulfil their individual potential. We ensure that the school delivers the National Curriculum as laid down by the Education Reform Act.  This is a minimum requirement.  We aim to provide each child with a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum that will lead to the development of positive attitudes and behaviour.

We aim to develop the health and emotional learning of every child as fully as possible and strive to provide the tools for unlocking learning. We encourage children to participate readily in all processes of learning.

We aim to make the children aware of moral values and to be capable of enjoying life to the full. We are an inclusive school in which we aim to provide equality of opportunity irrespective of race, gender, religion, social class, disability or special needs.

We aim to enable our children to become active members in the school, local and global community, by contributing responsibly to it, and also to be capable of becoming as independent as possible in the world at large .

We try to create an atmosphere of happiness, security and confidence within the school.  We feel this is most conducive to successful learning
