Warrington SEND Information Advice and Support Service

Warrington SEND Information Advice and Support Service is a service available to parents/ carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities aged between 0- 25 years. The support and advice we provide is impartial, confidential and free. We will listen to your concerns about special educational needs, disability, EHC plans and other educational queries. Our service is statutory and is available to all Warrington parents, carers and young people. ‘Parents includes all those adults with parental responsibility. We aim to build partnerships between parents, carers, young people and the professionals they are involved with. We aim to empower those parents/carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities so they can take an active and informed role in their child’s education and development.

  • Listening to your concerns
  • Looking at different options
  • Home visits
  • Supporting with appeals for Admissions, SEN transport and helping with Parental Requests for EHC plans
  • Attending meetings with you in Early years settings, schools, colleges and with the local authority
  • Helping you prepare for meetings
  • Looking at ways of overcoming differences where there is disagreement such as mediation and disagreement resolution
  • Signposting to other services
  • Continuing to provide support as long as it is needed
  • Delivering training workshops
  • Giving talks to parents/carers and support groups
  • Providing  a web resource for parents searching for information about SEND
