Who We Are
We are a service who can help anyone living in Warrington aged 16 and above registered with a Warrington GP to deal with common mental health problems. These may include depression, anxiety, panic, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The service is staffed by a team of highly skilled mental health professionals, such as mental health nurses, clinical psychologists, CBT therapists, High Intensity Therapists and psychological wellbeing practitioners.
If you are aged over 16 and live in Warrington and are experiencing a mental health difficulty which is affecting your daily living, employment or health Warrington Primary Care Psychological Service may be of benefit to you.
Interventions on offer include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), guided self help, computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) and signposting services which can include completing referrals to counselling services.
How To Refer
You can be referred to our services by gaining a referral from your GP or by completing a self referral form (please call the number below to receive a form or alternatively, it can be download from the link at the right of this page)
We also run drop in clinics at Making Space (Allen Street) every Monday between the hours of 1pm -4pm where you can come along and speak to one of our practitioners, gain further information and complete a self referral to our service.
Please note that following completing your referral you are required to opt in by calling the service on 01925 401 720. If you do not contact us within 2 weeks you may be discharged.
Following opting in, clients will then be offered either a face to face assessment or a telephone screening appointment to determine how our service can meet your needs.
