Information taken from the Warrington Primary Care Psychological Service website:
Warrington Primary Care Psychological Service is commissioned by Warrington Clinical Commissioning group and has been in operation since 1st April 2011. It is a free service to help anyone who is aged 16 years and over and is registered with a GP surgery in Warrington.
We are also a single point of access for counselling services in Warrington and a service which provides computerised CBT.
IAPT services are based on a stepped care model. This means that there are different levels of care with the higher levels offering more intensive therapy.
The person delivering your care should explain to you what choices are available and why they are considered suitable for you.
The service offers a range of interventions to people who are 16 years and above, and who are experiencing difficulties such as:
• Postnatal depression
• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
If you are aged 16 & over, live in Warrington and are experiencing a mental health difficulty which is affecting your daily living, employment or health this service may be of benefit to you.
We offer a drop in session where we can provide further information on a 1-1 basis with one of our practitioners. There is the opportunity to take self help materials and resources and the opportunity to self-refer for therapy.
